Basic Maryland Crab Cakes Recipe #270637

There are many Maryland crab cake recipes, and this is one of many simple, basic ones.

SERVES 6

  1. Pick through crab meat for any leftover pieces of shell.
  2. Lightly beat egg in medium bowl.
  3. Add all seasonings to egg and mix well.
  4. Add bread cubes to mixture and mix well.
  5. Gently fold crab meat into mixture.
  6. Shape into crab cakes.
  7. If using oil, heat oil.
  8. Pan fry until both sides are evenly done.
  9. Serve plain or with lemon juice or tartar sauce.
