Butter Beans With Bacon and Green Onions Recipe #254365

Southern Living. This would be wonderful with pork roast.

SERVES 8 -10

  1. Cook butterbeans according to package directions, and set aside.
  2. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crisp; remove bacon, reserving drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon, and set aside.
  3. Sauté green onions and garlic in drippings until tender.
  4. Stir in beans, parsley, salt, and pepper; cook just until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with bacon.
