Liza's Apple Fritters Recipe #214483

Can also can make Fried apple rings slice 1/8 inch thick dip into batter then fry. Try it with pears as well. Use Delicious Jonathan or Granny Smith Apples.

SERVES 10 , 20 fritters

Batter

for frying

Topping

  1. Heat oil to 350 degrees enough to deep fry the fritters.
  2. Mix dry ingredients of the batter.
  3. Mix wet ingredients together add to dry ingredients.
  4. Add apples and raisins if using to batter.
  5. Carefully drop spoonfuls into oil.
  6. Fry till golden brown 3-5 minutes.
  7. Roll into powdered sugar.
  8. Serve with a scoop of your favorite ice cream.
