Yam Candy (Aka) Sweet Potato Candy Recipe #195005

I thought I would share some of my favorites, These are some that I have to make quite often. this is a hand me down recipe.

30 balls

  1. Bake sweet potato as you would a plain potato.
  2. When done use only insides of potato.
  3. Measure out 1 1/2 potato let cool completely.
  4. In a bowl Sift sugar, mix well with margarine, milk , cinnamon, almond extract, vanilla extract and cooled sweet potato.
  5. Knead until smooth with your hands until mixed well.
  6. Add coconut.
  7. Shape into balls about 1 1/2 inches round.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar.
  9. Refrigerate.
  10. makes around 25-30 balls.
