Perfect Pie Crust

Recipe #381844 | 20 min | 10 min prep | add private note

By: LarkinSauce
Jul 16, 2009

I always used to use store bought pie crusts but this one is so easy to make and is pretty fool proof. Thanks to my mother-in-law I am now able to make a great flaky crust!

SERVES 4 , 4 crusts (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Blend the flour and shortening together in a large bowl (hands work best).
  2. 2
Slowly add the water while combining until you get desired texture. If you add too much water just sprinkle in a bit more flour.
  3. 3
Divide into 4 balls and roll out on a floured surface.
  4. 4
If you want a cooked pie crust bake on 400 for about 10 minutes.
