Ernest Hemingway loved his libations strong. This drink, which contains a double shot of rum, was named for him, the father of the double shots, Papa Dobles. The drink, as with many Cuban cocktails, is strong, tart, and limey. From "The Florida Keys Cookbook" and posted for ZWT5.

SERVES 1 , 1 double cocktail (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Place rum and juices in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake until frosty.
  2. 2
Pour into a large wide-mouthed glass, such as s large daiquiri or martini glass and serve.

This was a good drink but maybe a bit too tart. Maybe next time I would reduce the lime juice. Thanks FloridaNative Made for the Saucy Senoritas of ZWT5

I don't normally like pineapple juice, but this was really good! I added the cherry juice at the last minute and it sank to the bottom, making a pretty cool layered effect. It tastes the same as when shaken together. I'm sure Papa would be proud! Made for ZWT5 for RRR.
