I have been using this on pizza along with roasted sweet potato and carmelized onion.

5 cups (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Heat onions in oil over med-high heat until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. 2
Add garlic, ginger and pepper. Saute 5 more minutes.
  3. 3
    Add wine to deglaze pan.
  4. 4
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, orange juice, soy sauce, and water and bring to a low boil. Boil on low about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5
Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  6. 6
Put sauce in blender with maple syrup and liquid smoke. Puree.
  7. 7
Enjoy on pizza, tofu, tempeh, etc.!
