This recipe is from Cook for a Day, Eat for a Month. We have had it multiple times, and it is really good. I wanted to share it, because it freezes well, if you wanted to double it and have it again on yet another one of those busy weeknights.

SERVES 6 , 1 9x13 pan (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Brown beef in skillet. Add garlic, salt, sugar, and tomato sauce. Simmer 10 minutes until meat is lightly browned. In a small bowl, blend cream cheese, sour cream, and onions. Boil noodles, undercooking a minute or two; drain. In a 9x13 inch pan, layer noodles, cream cheese mixture, and meat sauce. Repeat. Sprinkle cheddar on top.
  2. 2
To Freeze: Cover with foil; and freeze.
  3. 3
To Serve: Transfer to refrigerator the night before. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted and bubbly.

Easy make ahead. Sometimes I use 1 tsp Italian seasoning in the tomato sauce just to change the flavor. Very much a comfort food!
