Natural Cough Syrup

Recipe #398225 | 5 min | 5 min prep | add private note

I found this recipe for cough syrup posted by Bonnie K. McMillen, R.N, B.S.N., College Health Nurse, University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. It certainly can't hurt and reviews seem to confirm it works. Ingredients are all common and most likely in the cupboard. **This is not recommended for young children, as it is too strong in taste and honey is not safe for children under one year unless pasteurized or boiled for 5 minutes.

This is what my mom makes, though she makes me down the whole thing at once. It will beat your cough into submission. Please note that this is most effective for a dry cough
