I haven't tried to make these delectable looking little cookies yet. It's on my Christmas baking list. This recipe makes a lot (6 dozen) and can be frozen for up to 2 months. I think I got this recipe at the Royal Winter Fair. On the recipe card it says "A product of out dairy farms". The baking time is for each batch of 1 dozen cookies.

72 cookies (change servings and units)

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups butter, softened (no substitutions)
1 cup icing sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips

Directions

Stir flour and salt together.

Cream butter, then gradually beat in sugar and vanilla.

Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, a little at a time and blend until smoothly combined.

Stir in chocolate chips.

Form dough into 1-inch balls.

Place 1 dozen at a time on cookie sheet and flatten to rounds approximately 2 inches in diameter with the bottom of a glass dipped in flour.

Bake in 325F oven for 10 to 11 minutes.

Cool on rack.

Once cooled, cookies may be wrapped well and frozen for up to 2 months.
