Recipes in This Menu

  • Rosh Hashonah Wine

    We usually use a rose

  • Grape Juice

The residents think this is wine mixed with grape juice - one of the residents' was the one who came up with the idea of "a little bit of wine, un vinito"

  • 2 Cents Plain

We used Perrier Water and it was a hit - everyone had some.

  • Chopped Liver

Just make it once a year.

  • Doctored Gefilte Fish

Can't wait to try it with horseradish - we will have both types.

  • Apples & Honey for Dipping

This was a big hit - the residents are so cute with this by asking if we eat too much of this there won't be room for the meal.

  • Chocolate, Chocolate Mousse Cake with Chocolate Ganache

This is store-bought. It is a chocolate cake, with chocolate mousse, and chocolate buttercream icing, with a ganache with chocolate chips - it is a cake that makes you feel as if you have died and gone to heaven.

  • Rugelah: Apricot with Pistachios, Raspberry, Chocolate Chip and Cinnamon with Nuts

There is so much going on the kitchen this year, with the restaurant at lunch time, and dinner for the residents' and the Rosh Hashonah meal that I oredered them from a wonderful bakery.
