Recipes in This Menu

  • Mock Champagne

Everyone was asking what was in the punch. It was so simple, but liked by all.

  • Strawberry Cheese Ring

This was a delicious dip and the the strawberry jam in the center really complimented the cheese ring. I served this with Ritz crackers.

  • Cheeseball Maximus

This was the hit of the shower and got more attention than Kathy. Everyone was requesting a copy of the recipe. I have since been asked to serve this at many family functions.

  • Bowl of Mixed Nuts

Served in a shallow dish with a spoon for serving.

  • The Clothespin Game

As guests arrive to the party, hand them a clothespin. Have them pin the clothespin on them and tell them if they cross their legs, their clothespin can be stollen. Likewise, if they catch someone with their legs crossed they should steel their clothespin. Not crossing your legs is a very difficult task for a room full of women! The person who collects the most clothepins at the end of the party wins.

  • Toilet Paper Wedding Dress

Divide your guests into two or more teams (at least three people on each team). Each team chooses a "bride." The teams are given rolls of toilet paper and 20 minutes to create a wedding dress on their "bride" using the toilet paper. At the end of the allotted time, all the guests will vote for the best wedding dress. Prizes are given to the winners.

  • The Wedding Night

This one is particularly fun at a lingerie shower and popular with a younger crowd. As the bride unwraps her gifts, have a bridesmaid quietly write down everything she says, such as "oooh, this is nice" and "What do I do with this?". After the bride-to-be has opened her presents have that bridesmaid announce, "this is what the bride will say on her wedding night" and read the list out loud. Some of the comments can be really funny.
