Ahhhhh...sounds lovely! What? No Pineau des Charentes??? I know I'll never get that long lazy meal here in the States. Our last meal in Paris was 3 1/2 hours at a restaurant. The waitress thought it was hysterical. We'd just keep ordering courses - slowly. The cheese board between the meal & dessert is the greatest so you CAN indeed finish your wine! I think that is the whole purpose, yes? Because I tend not to drink a lot WHILE I am eating. And I have made the dessert you mentioned & it is DELICIOUS! I hope to recreate some European memories during my summer meals in Maine. You should come help with these memories. Miss you!!
