"I love giving gifts from my kitchen to those I know will appreciate good cooking. These cookies and candies were all things I made this year, either before or after Christmas (I was in the hospital the day before Christmas Eve!). My doctors all LIT UP when I walked in their office with bags of these treats. They're all easy and delicious and are not necessarily what you'd consider the "traditional" Christmas cookie, which is why I chose them. I didn't want anything just ordinary. These are something to make year-round."

I made these and iced them with red icing with green sugar and white icing with crushed peppermint candies.

Made these with white chocolate and dipped them in red and green sugar and multi-colored sprinkles. They looked very pretty in a transparent bag tied with ribbons.

These are soo addictive. I used crushed cornflakes and rice krispies. Both were a hit. I'm thinking maybe next time, I'll try frosted flakes.
