  • Wheat-Free Granola (Muesli)

As Leggy Peggy suggested, I would have this in an airtight container, ready for any occassion.

  • Long life milk

This would be a standard item I would have in my emergency pack.

  • Creamy Salmon Chowder

Made with tinned salmon, tinned tomatoes, tinned cheese and a can of soup so all pantry ingredients.

  • Oatmeal Onion Batter Bread

This bread sounds ideal for an emergency situation since it doesn't require kneading. However, if the electricity is out then there is no oven. I would "bake" this on top of the soup. I have a large pan that has a trivet and dish that you can place above the cooking and steam something with your main meal. Steamed bread isn't quite the same as baked but in an emergency, I think we'll appreciate some bread with our soup.

  • Magic French Fudge

I think this snack will cheer us up as we cope with our emergency situation. Chocolate is always good!

  • Arielle's Favorite Tuna Casserole

I would make this all in a pan since we wouldn't have an oven. I would cook the pasta first (and "bake" the dessert at the same time). Then drain the pasta, heat all the other ingredients, substituting canned vegetables for frozen peas and using the rest of the canned cheese from lunch, and stir the pasta through. I would use Mommy Diva's suggestion and top with crushed chips for a bit of texture and crunch.

  • Pouding Renverse Des Bluets (Blueberry Upside Down Pudding)

Use canned blueberries and steam with the pasta. Use powdered egg substitute and long life milk and serve with a little of the milk.

  • Maple Cappuccino

Made with a really good quality freeze dried coffee and more of that long life milk. A perfect nightcap.
