"Our family decided to go on a cross-country trip. DH decided he was going to drive so I could get some rest. When I woke up I noticed that we are in the middle of no where. Of course, being a man, he didn't stop for directions so now it looks like we will be roughing it. Good thing I am always prepared. I get the kids busy setting up tents, DH is pondering over the map, & I pull out my 72 hour kit. We have plenty of food for the next day so why waste this beautiful scenery. "

It just so happens that I have a box of instant rice, can of mushrooms, prepackage bacon, can of diced tomatoes, & a small container of mayo. I had to leave out the onion & lettuce.

Since I had tea bags & a can of orange juice I decided to make this drink to go with dinner. I left out the cloves & cinnamon stick & instead used ground cinnamon.

Grandma's Chicken Rice Casserole

This was a delicious dish to have for dinner. I cooked up the rice then add all the other ingredients to it except for the onions & broccoli. I did add a can of peas to it.
