  • Canadian Bacon & Cheese Omelet

A warm breakfast like this will erase all the fear of living without electricity. Serve on paper plates to decrease the pile-up of dirty dishes while the pump is OUT!

  • Juice & Milk

Use it up before it goes sour!

  • Blueberry Snack Mix

Toss a bunch of dried fruits and candies in a bowl and tell the troops this is TRAIL MIX. No electricity is like having fun, now isn't it?

  • Grilled Cheese French Toast with Bacon

This is the double-whammy of goodness....a grilled cheese (comfort food) with French toast preparation--are you kidding? And BACON? No--we're NOT kidding, this is what we'll be eating in Heaven. Calgon, take me away!

  • Slice of bread with peanut budder & honey

This brings back memories of hot summer days, perching in an old apple tree behind the garage, spying on my brothers in the sandbox! Just what the doctor ordered to bring sanity back into a hectic afternoon...might as well ENJOY living without 'lectricity!

  • Fruit & Yogurt Smoothie

Use the yogurt before it goes bad, so dump it in a BOWL (not the blender--remember it doesn't work without electricity)...mash some pieces of fruit (we like bluebs or strawbs or mangoes) with a fork and eat with a spoon. Oh and look at that---just as we're gettign ready for bed — the power comes back on! How cool is that!?
