    1/2 a loaf of Italian bread from the grocery store bakery, 1/2 stick of butter melted in the microwave, 1-2 cloves garlic, pressed. Cut bread the long way into quarters. Combine butter and garlic and paint or spread onto cut surfaces of bread. Bake at 350F for 12-15 minutes.

    This week (March 26, 2008) my son is planning to make this with tomatoes instead of peppers (he doesn't like peppers) and add chicken for the meat-eaters.

  • Chile Con Blarney

    I'm going to make 2/3 according to the recipe and try in the other 1/3 substituting quinoa for the ground meat. I found a quinoa-veggie chili in Vegetarian Times many years ago and it was pretty good.
