"A collection of meals to make for Mom to use after surgery. The story: My Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a few days before Christmas, and a bilateral masectomy was scheduled for Feb. 1. In an effort to help out, I made this plan to cook up a bunch of meals, and my sister and I were going to get together with my Mom and we were going to make all of these things for their freezer, as she was going to be unable to cook for my dad and younger brother and sister who are 11 and 13. To make a long story short, Mom went to the store and just got overwhelmed by it all. She left a full cart of groceries and the plan was foiled, that is, until one of Mom's co-workers heard about the story and wanted to help. I made this menu public because her other co-workers wanted to help out, too. The response has been overwhelming and I just wanted to thank everyone at Toledo Hospital for this wonderful act of kindness towards my family. Mom is in a lot of pain but is doing well. Anyone who knows my Mom would know how strong she is, and even though it will be hard, she will make it through this and be better because of it! :)"
