  • Relish Tray

Veggies & dip to wake up our poor-starving tummies. Haahhh! We'll see about that!

  • Antipasto

Tried & true, witty & sparkling--a definite EXCELLENT table companion. Best on butter crackers.

  • Stuffed Dill Pickles

These sound seriously delicious. If I have time, they'll be cutely made and hopefully NOT all eaten by Thursday!

  • Ken's Corn Relish

Exquisite color (corn = yellow, pimiento = red, pepper = green) and body. Yah dun goot lil' brotha!

  • Green Olive Relish

There must be some Omega-3's in there somewhere. Who cares? I love green olives--how could this be bad for you?

  • Dill Pickle Salsa

I'll use my Blue Ribbon Dills for this one--and everyone will be SO thankful!

  • Crackers of Various Nomenclature

Simple vehicles of conveyance, unless we use spoons and just EAT the other stuff like little piggies!

  • Awesome High Heat Holiday Turkey

Going out on a limb here, with this recipe--we'll see how she goes! Using a home-grown, organic bird from our young friend Jason. Last year's bird was exquisite...so this one should be too.

  • Thanksgiving Mashed Potatoes - Loaded!

With home-made giblet & mushroom gravy. Anyone leaving the table and claiming to be hungry simply didn't eat enough spuds!

  • Traditional Thanksgiving Turkey Stuffing / Dressing

Stuffing? I'm staying! You couldn't get me out-a here with a steam-shovel. Until this STUFF is gone, count me in, Flynn!

  • Turkey Gravy - Make Ahead

Now--here's a lifesaver! Why didn't I ever think of doing this on my own!? ...'Course, if I keep making everything "ahead of time" I won't have anything to do the DAY OF! Hmmm....now THERE's a problem!!!

  • Cranberry & Grapefruit Relish

Gone are the days of canned cranberry relish...this is waaay too good to waste table-space on that other stuff! A bit putzy but well-worth the effort.

  • Crispy Chopped Broccoli

The newest addition to our menu, came across this one during a Zaar Football Pool (I'm a loser!); since we all loved it, decided to try it on the T-giving crowd, too...plus it'll be EXCELLENT for color at the table, AND not all saucy like the usual green bean casserole with onions on top. Something here that's pleasingly different AND satisfying!

  • Mashed Carrots & Turnips

What a great idea--and the flavor is wonderful! Cook them in chunks then mash (but not to smithereens!), add a bit of brown sugar or syrup. Drizzle a bit of melted butter over at serving time, and they'll be lining up to have this on their plates!

  • Thanksgiving Cottage Cheese Rolls

You could make ONLY these and people would STILL consider this a great meal! The day my MIL asked me for the recipe, I KNEW I had a winner--MIL is a professional baker! The MOST requested item from our Thanksgiving menu, also the MOST fun to make, and probably the MOST satisfying to eat any time of the year! I'm always thankful to have a youthful helper when it's time to make the dough into little roll-balls. Messy, but memorable!

  • Yummy Crunchy Caramel Apple Pie

Thanks to the 4-H'ers who joined in the Pie-Makihg fun in late October, as we discovered THIS recipe...which is now the STAR of our T-giving dessert menu. The title of the recipe says it all.

  • Pumpkin Pie

Something traditional and reliable--we LOVE this one!

  • Delightfully Fresh, Whipped Cream

Need MIL points? Dump a quart of heavy whipping cream in the KitchenAid, turn it on & let it work. A minute or so later, you'll have whipped cream. Sprinkle in some white sugar, beat a little more, a dash of vanilla or some cinnamon, and there you are--basking in the loving devotion of family & friends. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge--NO SNITCHIN' in the kitchen (so take it into the living room). Whew. Now, wasn't that easy?

  • Flavored Coffees

White chocolate, French vanilla, English toffee. WHO HAS ROOM FOR THIS STUFF?

  • Jerez Cherry Liqueur

Canned this one up in the summer when Bing cherries were in season. Can't wait to break it open and see how it tastes! Too good for kiddies though--awww.
