  • Fried Bread Dough

This is what we start each Christmas morning with after opening presents. I fry bread dough and everyone eats this with something different. Some like butter and confectioners sugar, others butter and pure maple syrup, and other just butter and salt. Whatever way it is, they are good. If there are any leftover, I save them and pop them in the toaster for a minute and they are as good as new.

  • Sticky Buns--Out of This World

These make me think of my dad. He loved Sticky Buns. When I was young, I remember him going to the bakery and getting a Sticky Bun and he would have it for lunch. So every time I make these, I think of him and wished he were here to enjoy them. I'll even eat one for him.

  • Onion Yeast Rolls

These are a favorite of my daughter and me. They are the best rolls I have had. The onion is cooked in butter before being put into the roll. Then they are rolled up and sliced like a cinnamon roll. We have these for dinner along with the regular rolls when I feel really ambitious. They freeze well, so I usually make them ahead.

  • Refrigerator Rolls

I have always made plain rolls for dinner along wth the Onion Yeast Rolls because my son loves plain rolls, but this year I am making these Refrigerator Rolls. I made them for a friend and they were delicious; also very versatile. They had good flavor, great texture, and looked pretty. Yummy!

  • Cheese Coffee Braid

This is good for Christmas Eve. We get together and have all sorts of goodies and this is one of them. I sometimes put cherry pie filling in this as I love it.

  • Hot Chocolate Mix

As soon as it gets cold in Maine, I make this recipe and keep it in a glass gallon jar with a pretty lid that I have stenciled. I keep a scoop in it so anyone who wants a cup can help themself. This warms you up on a cold night or if you have a craving for something sweet.

  • Mimi's Gingerbread Men

Gingerbread Men are an all-year cookie. My son would choose these over any other cookie. They are his favorites. And a cookie tray would not be complete without them. They are so cute and they go so fast.

  • Spritz Cookies

Making Spritz Cookies is an old tradition. I bought a cookie press when I was quite young and my children were small. We would make vanilla and chocolate spritz and sprinkle them. I don't make the chocolate anymore as I have so many cookies to choose from. These little pressed cookies look so nice and taste so good.

  • Christmas Sugar Cookies--Or Anytime

I can't let Christmas go by without making Sugar Cookies in all their pretty little shapes and covered with red and green sugar. I have soooo many cookie cutters therefore I have a lot of shapes. My husband loves these along with the rest of the family. A plate of these alone look so nice.

  • Graham Cracker Fruit Cake

I like fruitcake but I don't care for a lot of citron, but do like the candied cherries, dates, and walnuts. This was on the graham cracker box years ago and it is very good and makes a large one. I like to have fruitcakes on hand in case someone drops in and I make a pot of tea.

  • Peppermint Pretzel Canes

These are pretty and good. They make a very nice gift and are very attractive sitting on a table in some sort of a glass.

  • Quick Cranberry-Orange Jam

This is the exact same jam that I have been making for quite a few years. It is so easy and you keep it in the refrigerator just waiting for a friend to drop in. I posted it but later it was taken away because someone else had posted it before. But it is the exact same recipe.
