I own a small gourmet business. I specialize in cheese (sheep and goat milk), extra virgin olive oil and table wines.
All items are produced in the Douro and Tras-os-Montes region of Portugal. I do gift boxes for the holidays and ship all over Europe.
My favorite cookbook is the 1933 edition of the Fanny Farmer cookbook. That's the one that taught me how to cook.
My passions are excellent wine, good music and any excuse for serving a splendid meal. I do Thanksgiving for my Portuguese friends, every year. Last year I fed 26 folks. My turkey is much different than the traditional portuguese christmas turkey. That's my dish, the one that everyone remembers
My favorite dish to cook, when I want to impress, is roast leg of lamb with tiny potatoes. and saffron rice.
My favorite food in a generic sense is Italian.
My favorite desserts are anything made at home.
