about me

Our son Nathaniel was born on September 9, 2009! Our beautiful baby girl passed away at birth. We are grateful and blessed to have a healthy son, thank you to all of my dear friends who have had us in your thoughts and prayers through my pregnancy.

We have 4 cats Tabby 16, Micky and Lexi 5, and Meko 1, and 1 dog Kya 2.

In my "spare time" I am a harpist, and singer. Mostly in church, but have been blessed to sing in many other venues.

I have a variety of hobbies like cross-stitch, and painting, and of course COOKING! We don't go out much when the weather gets bad... South Dakota winters can be bitter. It does give me the opportunity to try out new recipes and experiment a little. Some of the best dishes come from doing a bit of experimenting!

Who can pick a favorite??!

~Japanese Futo Maki and anything my Japanese mom cooks! Gyoza and Vegetable Tempura are a couple all time favorites!
~Cuban fried plantains ~ there's a little restraunt in Key West FL that has the all time BEST! Wish I could remember the name of it!
~Sri Lankan curry chicken, potatoes and Coconut rice. A dear friend of my parents Manel taught me how to make a couple of dishes... they are nearly as good as hers though!
