First, thank you for stopping by my page!
Joining Zaar has been terrific!
I've been married to my wonderful husband for 5 years now, and we are expecting twins the end of April 2009. (Yes, there are TWO babies! A boy and a girl!!!!) We have 4 cats Tabby 16, Micky and Lexi 5 (they are the sweethearts pictured above), and Meko 1, and 1 dog Kya 2.

I have been fortunate to be able to work from home, so I'm able to set my own schedule. This allows me to enjoy all of my hobbies like cross-stitch, and painting, and of course COOKING! We don't go out much when the weather gets bad... South Dakota winters can be bitter. It does give me the opportunity to try out new recipes and experiment a little. Some of the best food comes from doing a little experimenting! Although I do have one advantage when I want to cook and don't have the ingredients on hand ~ DH works for a grocery store!!!
***Just a note about "ratings" I don't have a rating system. I will never rate anything less than 3 stars, because if a chef has gone to the trouble of posting the recipe then it is worth at least that!

Almost anything Japanese, especially Futo Maki and Sukiyaki! (My Mom is Japanese.) I love Sri Lankan food! And of course good old American "comfort food!
There are so many restaurants in town it is hard to pick a "favorite" however, if I think about it I would say the locally owned are preferred to the chains. We like Spezia's for Italian, Sushi Masa for Japanese, The Attic for American comfort and "chislic", and Hamburger Inn for a good burger!
