My passions are eating, enjoying time with my family and pets, and traveling.
My favorite cookbook at the moment is "Moroccan Modern" by Hassan M'Souli, but other favorites are: "How to Cook Everything" by Bittman; The Best of French Cooking" by Larousse; "Parisian Home Cooking" by Michael Roberts; "The New York Times International Cookbook" by Craig Claiborne; and "101 Secrets of California Chefs" (1969) edited by J. Killeen.
I love Mediterranean foods and just about anything made with tomatoes, feta cheese, onions, and calamata olives. I also love steak frites, chicken piccata, mussels, pasta, vegetables, ice cream, eclairs, gelato, potatoes au gratin, green salads, blue cheese, fruit, pumpkin seeds, mergeza and couscous, fried chicken, Moroccan cuisine, calamari, grilled lamb chops with rosemary, exceptionally good pizza, lemons - fresh and preserved, harisa, limes, cilantro, avocado, pear tarte, red onions, bacon, sausage, hash browns, goat cheese, French toast, sourdough breads, Gyros. Mexican food. All hot peppers.
