I'm a certified nurse-midwife who loves food (as is obvious when you see me); also enjoy handcrafts and reading and classical music. 5 years ago I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes; this has limited my enjoyment of food considerably and the closest I get to a lot of recipes on this site is to read them...alas...

Favorite Foods:

Everything except Greek and Mexican food. I make a lot of Iraqi/Middle Eastern and Indian food because my husband is of Iraqi origin and likes it. I lived for a while in the UK and ate practically nothing but Indian food, which used to be the "cheap" food like Chinese take-away is in the States.
