I'm a business professional, sidelined by some medical problems. Cooking has always been a passion and I have a HUGE blended family (9 children from 11 to 23 and one new grandchild). I read cookbooks like novels, love gardening and bass fishing. My pet peeve in the kitchen is when "helpers" don't clean as they go....
My Italian dishes are everyone's favorites - it's a good thing, as my husband is Sicilian - LOL. I'm not much of a baker, however I'm experimenting since I'm now at home full time, at least for a while. I'm interested in healthy, low carb recipes, as I'm a type 1 Diabetic. Wow - favorite restaurant? There's a little Italian restaurant called La Grotta, in Richmond, VA - it would be one of my faves, if I HAD to choose....
