about me

We live in a small town with around 900 people. DH retired 10 years ago when he turned 50 and we moved here to the countryside. There are about 8 lakes within a half hours drive, more in a hours drive. So we go fishing alot, which we both love. I love the peace and quite and the beauty of the surroundings. My favorite cookbook is a magazine. It is Taste of Homes Quick Cooking. And now my favorite recipe site is Recipezaar. I am here every day checking out different recipes. DH comes in and says "oh, your at Recipezaar again". LOL

Favorite Foods:

I love all types of food. Seafood, Mexican, Chinese, Italian etc.
My favorite restaurant is Red Lobster. I love their cheese biscuits. Oh, and the Cracker Barrel has great Blacken Catfish.
My kids call me the Queen of Casseroles, because I make a lot of them. There is only the two of us, DH and me, so I make a casserole, divide it between two casserole dishes and freeze one for later. It saves a lot of time and is great when neither of us feels like cooking.
