about me

I am vegetarian for ethical reasons, though I understand my partners' and guests' love of meat and am still cooking many meat dishes.
I have been in the wine industry for many years and have always delighted in food + wine matching. Not eating meat has allowed myself to become even more creative and adventuresome with either discovering a stella wine and making a recipe to match or vice versa.
I live with my two beautiful German Shepards, Zak & Mable, and my beautiful boyfriend of 10 years, Wayde. We like the quiet life and the simple pleasures that come with it.

Favorite Foods:

I adore hearty winter fare, loads of chickpeas, different types of lentils, pumpkins, potatoes...
I try to buy Heirloom vegies / fruit, as the variation from one piece to the other always suprises me.
I love south Indian/Sri Lankan cuisine, North African/Maghreb cuisne is amazing.
I love traditonal recipes from all over the world that reflect the past and evolving lives of the people.
