about me

I am a computer programmer, and over the last few years I have begun to enjoy learning and experimenting with cooking. I don't do much baking yet, but once I get a larger kitchen with more amenities, I will start! I also play chess, make wine and read science fiction--mostly Heinlein.

Favorite Foods:

I really enjoy pork, in almost all its forms. My kids say my pork roast is the best dish I make, although it's different every time. I enjoy using different spices, and I usually focus on one new spice at a time. Currently I am using a lot of cumin, which I have used in chili and rice dishes. I am a big fan of Watkins spices, flavourings and food products.
