about me

A south-eastern ontario transplant, DH and I hail from Northern Ontario where life is much colder and good lovin' usually means leaving your socks on. It's taken about 3 years, but slowly, surely, 'down south' is becoming home away from home.
We've been married nearly 3 years with no kidlets in sight just yet, but enjoy our cat and pug furbabies who keep the days endlessly entertaining. I dabble in gardening (which mostly involves standing in the middle of the yard looking confused), am a middling cook but a pretty good baker. Particularly cookies, but I'm branching out as time marches on.
I work in a jewellery store (bling bling) and a bank (ca-ching!) and am embarking on my MA degree in Theory, Culture and Politics once September rolls around. Who knows what I'll do with all this education once I'm done, but it's sure to make for some interesting conversation in the meantime.

I'm becoming known far and wide as that cookie person, mostly because with just DH and I in the house, I feel compelled to pass on my creations to friends and coworkers to save our arteries and plump behinds. Though I love the tried and true, I'm always looking to try the out of the ordinary flavours. Lord knows I can't face a recipe without tweaking it a bit!
In this house we lean towards childhood canadian and asian favourites, and everything gets a healthy dose of garlic before it hits the table.
