about me

I am originally from KC and will always be a Chiefs fan. I now live in the Las Vegas Valley. My husband and I have been married for 10 years. I have 7 kids ages 4 to 18. I can't believe I have an adult child. I have always love to cook. I learned from my paternal grandmother. I took over the cooking in our house when I was 14-my mother was a horrible cook and my family was getting tired of Hamburger Helper. I read cookbooks like most people read novels. I have recently adopted a more vegetarian diet but the family is not cooperating but they are trying to be supportive. My hubby and I both diabetics so we are trying to eat healthier and teach our kids better eating habits. I love this site and am trying tons of new recipes. My 14 yod loves to cook too and she has downloaded some of her favorite to try.

Favorite Foods:

I love homegrown tomatoes and zucchini and I'll never pass up a good steak or eggplant parmesan.
