I've been vegetarian since I was 17, and have continued to enjoy cooking since then - I started young, with mum & granny, and never looked back!
I am very fond of Julia Child, and have always had huge respect for her teaching abilities.
Right now I'm a student at McGill University in Montreal, where I'm from, and I can't wait to be done!
I love Italian, French, Greek and Middle Eastern cuisine. I also adore things like good creamed soups & modern quiches, a fast-growing speciality of Ireland.
As far as specific dishes go, I'd say my favourites are:
Falafel
Herb & garlic-roasted poatoes
Potato & leak soup
Vol-au-vents filled with mushrooms in a white sauce
Light & crispy spring rolls
Anything to do with feta!
Bocconcini, tomato, avocado & fresh basil salad
There are so many dishes I love, it's impossible to list them all!
