I went to culinary school but decided to get into the wine business instead and am now pursuing a career in distribution. I still love cooking and feel like the kitchen is my canvas. I love the fresh food of the North West adn the availability of farmers markets and fresh fish.

My favorite dish to cook is Ropa Veija, a Cuban slow cooked beef shredded and served in tortillas with black beans. I am huge fan of Hispanic cooking but I also love Thai, Indian, and Mediterranean cuisines. A lot of experimenting goes on in my kitchen, I've made my own versions of Beef stroganoff, asian-flavored pastas, vegetable lasagnas, and shepherds pie. Usually I try to cook lighter, healthful meals without sacrificing flavor or my carbs or cheese fixes.
I have become a supporter of local foods, and Seattle has so many great restaurants that take advantage of the local bounty. Fabulous!
