I love to cook and experiment with food. My baby brother Aaron is a phenomenal cook too and aspires to be a restaurateur one day. My fiance' Bobby also has skills in the kitchen and I think between the 3 of us we come up with some really good holiday menus. We grew up and always had family in Pennsylvania, so many of our recipes have PA Dutch influence.
Pet Peeves: lack of grammar-double negatives/double superlatives, they make my ears ring, LOL! HMMM ... does Paris Hilton count as a pet peeve!?!? I guess that's more of a general dislike.
My fiance and I have 6cats, 2dogs, 1fish & 2frogs - ergo the 'ark' in my screen name! So, you won't see any "frog legs" recipes in my cookbooks I also have a weak spot for strays and the little bit of wildlife we have in suburbia, particularly the squirrels and birds.

Favorite Foods:

It would probably be a shorter list of foods I don't like (i.e. raw...anything aside from fruits/veggies, corned beef-but I love sauerkraut, lol!
I really love bold flavors: smoked gouda, goat cheese, rainier cherries, asparagus, artichokes, olives of all kinds, french-onion-soup, capers, pine nuts, sundried tomatoes...

Favorite Wines: gewurztraminer, beaujolais, cabernet, merlot, pinot noir, pinot grigio....
