I am a stay at home mom, always looking for easier, cheaper, tastier meals for the picky crew. So glad to be here! Made a New Years vow to make a new recipe at least once a week. With this site, it may be more like once a day! Whoo-hoo!
My passions are cooking meals my whole family will eat, gardening, and photography. I am hoping to start raising (organically) chickens this spring, partly for the eggs and partly because I miss living on a large farm.
My biggest pet peeves right now are the rising cost of food and gasoline.


UPDATE: April 7,2008
Since I seem to have become addicted to Recipezarr, I have changed my New Year's Vow from trying 52 new recipes this year, to 365 new recipes, one for each day of the year. Anybody with me? Whoo-hoo!

Favorite Foods:

Favorite foods right now? hmmm, beef stroganoff, broccoli salad with dried cranberries, any coffee as long as it has french vanilla creamer in it. The only food I am famous for is my twist on the chocolate/cherry dipped/Hershey kiss mice that I make for my husband's workplace at Christmas. I made about 80 of them this year.
My favorite restaurant is any place that I can sit and eat in peace and be served politely.


My rating system:
5 stars: really great, will definitely put this in my keeper file and make again.
4 stars: liked it alot, maybe needs something else, or maybe I need to work on my technique for making it.
3 stars or less: I have decided from now on not to give 3 stars or less, because I don't want to hurt someone's feelings just because my taste buds didn't match their recipe. If I don't like it, I just won't review it.
