about me

I live in a small-ish town about 32 miles east of Dallas, Texas. I am a full time mother, and college student. I work in education at our local high school, and am pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and I may actually teach for a while. Right now though I am an Education Aid in the Sciences, and that is fine with me! No TEKs, TAKs & lesson plan prep! LOL!

Needless to say my ‘free’ time is at a minimum! I love to cook! I like gardening too. I just don’t have the time anymore. So cooking is my ‘therapy’. Trust me, I need a lot of therapy! I enjoy this site and the respect between members whether they like the recipe or not. I have used it for a while now and have never joined, so I figured I would. I may not get a chance to post a recipe very often, but I’ll give it a go!

Favorite Foods:

Fried picles! LOL! I love almost all foods! I have recently learned how to make egg rolls, and am spinning off on that. Philly Steak & cheese egg rolls...yummmm...dipped in (what else!)Ranch!

I am not really famous for anything...except maybe Yankee Chili; and that is a 20 year unperfected attempt at making a dish my best friends mother used to make, and the recipe is no where to be found and she has passed. I'll have to think about this one. Thank goodness for 'edit' and such nice members! LOL!
