about me

It's a pleasure to cook for my friends and family! I love to try new recipes and I prefer eating and entertaining at home to eating at a restaurant. Cooking is a passion and I am having fun!

I am a school secretary, very happily married to a firefighter who is the love of my life! I am the fortunate soul of an outstanding mother in law, who I consider my "mom", and for a step-dad in law that is an absolute riot and always makes me laugh. My own dad is a wonderful person, a fantastic woodworker and generous man whom I adore. I am very human rights focused and very open minded. It takes all races, creeds and sexualities to make this world go 'round. Close your mind and close the door on life, I say. Or to quote a song "Free your mind, and the rest will follow." Yeah!! Be that leader!!!
I am also the mom to 2 wonderful girls (ages 20 and 18) and to 2 spoiled rotten Labrador Retrievers and an equally spoiled cat. I am an animal lover and love to provide "good care and lots of affection" to all pets, not just my own!

I am adopted and I just turned fabulous 41! I stay very busy, but like to watch Food Network and to try new recipes. I have also become a Zaar Addict. Youngest Daughter calls it my "Cooking Facebook" LOL!!
For me, there is nothing better than getting together with good friends and sharing good times and great food!

I also love Italian, Authentic Mexican and Thai Cusine. I love spicy dishes, and of course, great desserts. Reisling wines are my favorites, and nothing in this world beats a good chocolate cake!!

This year I want to try my hand at some authentic german cooking. My own mother is german and is unable cook anymore. I sure do miss it.
