I love to read, hang out with our friends and work on our house — we bought a 50-year-old cottage-style home in late 2001, and home-improvement projects never end!
We recently completed a total kitchen remodel; we had the kitchen down to the wall studs, as we rewired it and replaced literally everything except the refrigerator. It was a lot of work and inconvenience, but sooo worth it:

DH and I do not have children, but have a very special fur-baby, Alexis the cat.
DH & I love to travel and have a close group of friends scattered across the U.S.; we gather as often as we can and take yearly group vacations. We met up with our crew in New York City and the Jersey shore the first week of June.
A shot in Central Park:

I try to only post recipes that I have personally prepared; I have several adoptees that I haven't tried yet but am slowly working on that. ![]()
I love to cook for our friends & family. I like to bake, but try not to too much b/c I eat too much of the goodies!! I like pasta, Mexican. Being from the South, I can eat deep-fried food and enjoy it, but as I try to eat healthier, I NEVER cook that stuff!!
I like to try new dishes and new ingredients; finding Zaar has really made me a better cook. I used to rely on convenience items like Hamburger Helper for weeknight meals, but these years of trying different Zaar recipes and learning from the experienced cooks here have really helped me branch out.
