about me

I have two children and four beautiful grandchildren who know me as Noni Suzanne. The only thing that can possibly top being a parent, is being a grandparent...and that's the honest truth! The picture you see posted is of me and three of my grandbabies...Mikayla is 7, Ty is 3 (from my son, Scott) and Kennadi is 3. At the time this was taken baby Degan at 6 months was fast asleep in his stroller. (from my daughter, Staci)

My husband and I have been married for 30 years and enjoy jeeping, movies, dinner out and vacationing with the whole family. We also enjoy our "time for ourselves" out of town or vacationing with our best friends, Tony and Cindy.

Now that my children are grown and gone and I've retired, I have come to know the "joy of cooking" rather than the "chore of cooking". I love trying new recipes and thankfully I have a husband who will eat just about anything I put in front of him.

I look forward to sharing and receiving recipes from all of you wonderful cooks out there in ZAARland!

Favorite Foods:

This would be Mexican, Italian and Mediterranean without a doubt!
I also love a great Steak dinner. My favorite restaurants include Rocky Point in Carmel, Ca., The Chart House in Monterey, Ca., and some of our local places here in Fresno...Richard's, Tahoe Joe's, Yoshino's, DiCicco's, Campagnia and Phoenician Garden. I think my favorite "chain" type restaurants would have to be The Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, Claim Jumper and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse. Another out of town favorite would have to be Capitol Grill in Las Vegas...can't go to Vegas without a meal at Capitol Grill.
