I learned how to cook lots of heavy meat dishes from my father who was a bachelor for many years. When I married, I couldn't compete with my husband's grandmother who made every dish scrumptious! I percevered armed with tons of cookbooks and lots of experimentation. I now cook 3 meals on the weekends and make it last throughout the work-week. When I get home from work, we only need to make a pot of rice and re-heat the meals I prepared over the weekend. Simplicity and stress-free.
Tako (octopus), fish (fried, baked, broiled, steamed, sashimi, & sushi), stews, cheescake, pies, brownies.
