about me

I'm a divorced mother of 3 boys and they are all such great kids (of course!) Being a mother of a 6, 11, and 16 y/o has really challenged my cooking skills. We all have different, but similar tastes, so I've been adding a lot of new flavors, recipes, and nutrition to our menu.

I have a little southern heritage from my mother and country cooking is close to my heart. I love to look at and cook/bake different recipes. Most everyone in my family is naturally good at cooking...and we love to eat.

I found myself getting stuck in a food rut getting bored with our menu. I found RecipeZaar quite a few years ago, and it remains one of my most favorite sites for recipes.

I really enjoy family get-togethers, weekend get-a-ways, and camping trips. Just enough soothing for my soul. I can play a mean game of Corn Hole. My favorite seasons are Spring and Fall followed by Summer, and other than the beauty of a snowfall, I really hate winter.

We have three dogs: Daisy (Boxer/Shepard mix), Lexie (Border Collie mix), and Ruby (Toy Fox Terrier). We have two parrots: Ollie (Blue Front Amazon) and Tillie (Nanday Conure). Between the kids, the dogs, and the birds our home gets pretty noisy.

I'm all about my family, and I treasure the simple things in life!
