I transplanted 40 years ago from Germany, and had the good fortune to live in the Great Lakes region, Texas, and now in in beautiful Tennessee on the Cumberland Escarpment near Chattanooga.
I no longer work, so my latest hobby is aggrivating my children, which I have honed to perfection.
I like to quilt, garden, and cook, in that order, and watch the grand-children be children in the yard.
I like to cook stews, but my family likes my roasts better. My Sauerbraten must be the most popular recipe I have. It was on the menu at a little German Restaurant in Houston (anybody out there remember Agnes' Knoedelstube?)
For eating out...? I like Benihana - for the show, Dan's Steak and Seafood, since I have never been able to cook a steak to my liking, but any good Steak House will do.
