about me

I grew up in Hawaii, one of the great culinary crossroads of the world. Then I moved to San Francisco, a food lover's paradise. A year of study in Austria sparked a passion for traveling the world (mostly in search of exciting gustatory experiences).

Now I'm a wife and mom out in the 'burbs, so my focus has changed from haute cuisine and exotic street food to healthy family meals and fun ways to teach my little one the joy of cooking.

Food bloggers, Anthony Bourdain, Andrew Zimmern, Alton Brown and Lidia Bastianich help me continue my education in foods of the world from the comfort of my own home.
