about me

I live in the Home of Sliced Bread. My little town in Missouri is where the first loaf of bread was sliced by machine, many years ago.

I just got my certification for Reiki therapy and I'm going to try and set up my own business. Things are a little slow right now because a lot of people don't know what Reiki is. I'm doing it as a Christian trying to bring relief to those who are sick and in pain.
Try to find an Angel Food coop in your area, because you can get a fantastic amount of food for 25.00 (at least 70 worth). It's a lot of your meats and frozen veggies. Go to www.angelfoodministries.com for info on where you can locally pick up your your box of food.

I live with my best friend and between the two of us, we have quite the collection of animals. My dog, Duncan, will eat anything if it's not tied down (he's the one giving me kisses), Tessie, Angel's dog is a dainy eater. She's the other dog, a Lhasa Apso in the picture. We currently have 3 loveable cats, Boca the snowshow cat (he can make himself well known, hence his name) Bobbie Boo, a bobcat mix, and Christobel, an Egyptian Mao mix.

My favorite cookbook is recipezaar. I used to collect cookbooks, but I've given away all but my most cherished ones which belonged to my Grandma. I shop at an Amish community for my dry goods as much as possible. The doctor thinks I might be gluten intolerant so I buy my dry goods in Jamesport.

Favorite Foods:

Chocolate is still tops in my books. I've been trying different gluten free recipes because the doctor thinks I might have sprue (celiac disease). I love gluten free oreos. There's a wonderful recipe here on the zaar. My favorite time of year is Christmas because I love baking. I can make anything except yeast bread, so I have a breadmaker. It makes baking gluten free loaves quite easy. I love my gluten free lasagna, most of all. It's Angel's favorite gluten free dish so far.
