I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and was born in Esterhazy Saskatchewan. I am in the Food & Beverage industry and have been for over 22 years. I love to cook, but I would not call myself a "Chef". While I'm not good at creating recipes, I can take a recipe and tweak it or improve on it. I would have to say that I'm a self taught cook as my Mother never had time to really teach me. I would just watch her and figured it out on my own. I have collected 1000's of recipes (lots from here on Zaar) from cookbooks, clippings, pamphlets, you name it.
I like to read (favorite author is Jackie Collins), watch movies, trying to figure out how computers work and like to surf the net. Although I can stay in the background for months and not say anything, I'm always here on Zaar. It's a great site to be involved with.

Favorite Foods:

I have a passion for seafood, love pastas and Chinese. Boston Pizza is one of my favorite restaurants along with Red Lobster and Olive Garden. I'm not an overly picky eater and believe that a person (yes even children) should try almost everything at least once so you know whether you like it or not. Hence my hatred for liver and turnips.
