I love to read, sew, knit, search the web, cook, bake,make things for my grandchildren,people watch, communicate, volunteer...

I recently retired from administration work in a university. I am now the Office Manager of an environmental company and am loving all the new challenges this has brought to my life.

My 'loves' include my dog Bubba (the red neck Texan!), my 7 grandchildren, and of course my friends and family. I love interesting tidbits of information, I love learning new things and taking on new challenges.

Pet peeves? My biggest one is the attitude in society this millenium. I feel that too many people today are too much into themselves, have too big a sense of entitlement, are too selfish, and don't consider others enough. There is a huge lack of respect in society and people, in general, don't require much of themselves anymore. Too much "it's all about me". They should all try volunteering where you quickly experience people appreciating people, and being appreciated and respected in return. Life is much nicer this way! Wow, that was quite a tirade!

Favorite Foods:

Peanut butter, garlic, chocolate, chicken, homemade soups. I'm not 'famous' for any particular dish, but my family and friends like many I make.
