about me

I am a wife and a mother. I make quilts and work at a fabric store. I have a mug that says, "I use to cook before I learned how to quilt". I also garden and am getting ready to take the Master Gardeners course. My hubby and I like to go for hikes with our dog Tank. My kids are older now and do their own things.
My favorite cookbook is....Mastercook with traded recipes from all over the world. I do love the small cookbook called "Aglow in the Kitchen" which I will post recipes from.
A dream to still fullfill is to go on a cruise and visit the tropics.
I love bright colors, scrappy quilts and masses of flowers and people and sharing recipes.

Favorite Foods:

I love Mexican food. I grew up on it coming from Albuquerque. I just don't like to cook it. LOL. Very messy. But, of course I do cook it. I also love anything tropical. I love salads and sandwiches. I like amking and presenting deserts but I don't eat them much. I don't like alot of different types of seafood and I don't like lamb. Pork is my fav meat. Corn chips (tostatas) with my homemade salsa is my fav snack. I love trying new recipes but find it hard to stick with a written recipe exactly. My family loves for me to make "Blood Gravy". Recipe posted.
I lived in El Paso for many years and that is where my favorite restaurant is. I have not been to KiKi's for 7 years.
