I have had a very interesting life to date. I grew up on Long Island in NY. In fact in the next town over from where i am living now.have lived in switzerland for 12 years, Israel for 9.5 years and now I have come back to the good ole U.S of A. I started out as a fashion designer, was a journalist ran an import business, and opened an event planning, catering business. I studied fashion, business and became a chef. During this time I managed to have and raise 4 fabulous children.
I love real food. I might create beautiful and delicious desserts, but I prefer to eat proteins and veggies. My favorite meal is a steak and salad. owever, I won't eat it if I prepare it. No, I have no problem preparing it, I just can't seem to eat it if I do....I know weird. Weirder yet is I lived all those years in Switzerland, a country known for it's chocolate, and I have eaten none! I do not like to eat chocolate. I like to make hand dipped chocolates and truffles, but not eat them. I know, I know, all my friends have told me to my face what you are thinking.
The one thing I try not to bake to often is bread. That is my one downfall. If I bake bread, it will be gone before anyone else can get any. I have been using recipezaar for the last 6 months or so to see what people are baking and to see if there are any recipes I don't have. Well, I just made Citron Jelly. It looks wonderful, I can't wait for it to cool down.
