about me

I have 4 married children, 1 daughter and 3 sons. I have 6 grandchildren -
1 grandson and 5 grandaughters. I enjoy cooking and entertaining. I also
have a cottage, so do a lot of cooking there, although I must admit the
boys do most of the cooking (barbeque). My favourit cookbook is the
The Canadian Cook Book, it was one that was used in the high schools in Canada
I love the knit and crochet, and socialize, as I am off work - retired. Some
times I wonder how I got everything done when I was working and raising the
children. Without my husband I would never have made it.

Favorite Foods:

I love cooking casseroles - they are so easy and can made so far ahead.
It's not really a dish but I make my own cranberry relish - cranberries, nuts
dried apricots, sugar, raisins, apple and a bit of orange peel, and a little
orange juice.
I also make a blueberry cheese cake, and a Texas mud pie which goes over
very well. My favourite restaurant is the Devonsleigh House, in Markham
Ontario at Steeles Avenue and Warden.
