about me

I live in Washington State. I am a Personnel Manager for a local title insurance company. I'm fortunate to have my one of my sisters working with me also!

My husband and I have have been together since high school and have been married 31 years and we are still in love! Our daughter and son are grown and on their own. Our son was just recently married to a wonderful girl from Louisiana. We will be traveling to Louisiana for Thanksgiving this year, can't wait to try the Southern cuisine!

We have just recently found out that we will be grandparents in the spring, our son and wife are expecting! We are over the moon thrilled! Our family hasn't had a baby in it for almost 20 years.

When I was first married I made everything by scratch and still do most of the time! Got that from my mother who was a wonderful cook. She raised four daughters (with dad!), had a garden every year, sewed many of our clothes, made dinner every night and in her spare time had a 35 year career in management. A truly inspiring women that our family misses each and every day.

Spent 18 years with a women's non-profit group and we made much of our money to give away to local charities by catering for different groups and orginizations.

We spend a lot of our free time with the kids and cooking is almost always on the agenda. My husband and I enjoy taking trips and entering car shows with our restored 63 SS Nova. Now that it's just the two of us I tend to cook larger meals on the weekends and simpler ones during the work week.

I love Recipezaar! I use recipes from it at least a few times a week and can't say how many times I've recommended it to others. It's fun to read about the other members likes/dislikes and to read their reviews. I've only have one recipe that I didn't like, that's a pretty good percentage.

Favorite Foods:

My favorites are any seafood, chicken dishes, veggies and salads. I do have a weakness for any kind of bread and have perfected many bread recipes over the years. My husband will eat anything I make so he's easy to cook for.

When we travel we like to try new restaurants preferably not chain restaurants.
